With a new year comes changes in taxes and filings. Indiana has been behind the times in making electronic payments and filings easy and free.
IN SUI can be filed and paid online, but a convenience fee is charged. I would think we are making it easier for them. They don't have to manually enter the information or hope the check sent is good. If anything, they should be giving employers a discount for filing and paying through their website. Their website is good if you only have a handful of employees.
IN DOR has now made changes, and waited to show how it was suppose to be done. We got a notice half way through last year, but no explanation until Jan. They've got the INTax system, that isn't very easy to use.
